As an Appaloosa leopard, "Red Top" wears a complete blanket of egg-shaped spots, not just over his rump, but his neck and flank are spotted with rusty red markings. He is a smaller horse, ideal for the faster action of the bareback bronc event. The historically important bloodline that "Red Top" hails from, was carefully bred by the Nez Perce tribe. These horses appeared to be magical, giving the tribe great pride.
