One morning headed west on Nevada Highway 50, the one with the moniker, 'loneliest highway in America', I saw this scene in my rear view mirror. Sunlight illuminated the clouds and made the snow on the peaks impossibly bright. What drew me in was a scattering of ranch buildings in solitude far off in the distance, so small up against thunderously huge mountains. The silence of the morning was magnified.
